On Saturday, October 27 from 6pm to 9pm. Teaching Artist and home chef Will Loya with Wine Guru Gustavo Lira (gusthewineguy.blog and The Tasting Room at The Bottle Shop) in partnership with Craft Sierra Madre will host a special Fall “Sip & Stroke.” This evening of Food, Wine, and Art will celebrate German food and wine and will feature delicious German and Austrian delicacies paired with fine German and Austrian wines. Each participant will create an original painting on canvas.
The Art Theme – “German Expressionism”
At the beginning of the 20th century, avant-garde German artists pursued a new visual language known as Expressionism, which was characterized by intense color, exaggerated imagery, and agitated brushstrokes. Expressionist artists sought to depict their experience of and response to the subject more-so than the subject itself. Their art came from within, and to express this more abstract, visualized approach they naturally turned to more abstract forms of expression.
The Cuisine – German/Austrian Delicacies
Gourmet Bratwurst and Weisswurst sausages from Alpine Village, artisanal sauerkraut, German potato salad, and hand crafted pretzels, with an apple walnut strudel to finish!
The Wines - We will explore the fascinating wines of Germany and Austria. Wines that vary from off-dry to bone dry to delicious reds!

Cost: $85 per person. $75 per person if purchased by October 20th.
