We are celebrating our 26th Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Festival! says Sommelier Dieter Schafer, a longtime member of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest (FACCPNW). Throughout the evening Dieter will be presenting tasting seminars including the Beaujolais history, region and their grapes.
The 26th Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Festival – organized by FACCPNW – will be held at the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle. If you would like to purchase tickets, donate to our auction, volunteer, or sponsor the event, please email coordinator@faccpnw.org .
Dieter was Chairman of the 2002 Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Festival and Gala Dinner in Seattle. L’Union Interprofessionelle du Beaujolais awarded him the designation “Vigneron d’Honneur du Beaujolais” during the 2003 Beaujolais Nouveau event. In addition to helping at Beaujolais Nouveau events, Dieter Schafer actively participated for several years at Bastille Day celebrations, coordinating Bal des Pompiers dinners and conducting wine tastings. For the past four years Dieter presented “Wine Tour de France” at Seattle’s French Fest: A Celebration of French-Speaking Cultures.
