Manuel Moraga Gutierrez, owner, and winemaker of Cacique Maravilla is the 7th generation of his family to make wine in Bio-Bio region, Chile. He harvests grapes from the vines his great-great-grandfather Francisco planted in 1776. The winery name comes from Manuel's great-great-grandfather who had a deep respect for the local Mapuche peoples who honored him with the title of ‘Cacique Maravilla’ or ‘chief’.
Manuel makes his wine the same way his grandparents did, letting the volcanic soil in the vineyard take center stage. No sprays or artificial elements are introduced to these wines. Cacique Maravilla wines are as real as they come: wildly alive and unadorned, bursting with energy and honesty.
The Restaurant has a limited seating.
