Sherry is one of the world's oldest and greatest winemaking traditions For centuries wines from the Jerez region were classed among the lauded estates of Burgundy and Bordeaux. In recent generations, sherry lost its way; its once sterling reputation tarnished by cheap, sticky sweet blends that flooded the marketplace. Luckily, today sherry is in the midst of a renaissance; it is being re-discovered and re-appreciated as an incredible table wine and an essential component of many classic cocktails.

We have enlisted Mario Muñoz González of Bodegas Lustau to lead an introductory lecture on all things sherry. Join us from 5:30-7pm at The Institute Library in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. A sherry tasting showing the range of Bodegas Lustau will follow the discussion.
