How did Bordeaux become the worldwide benchmark for great wine? What is a "classified growth?" What are the Left and Right Banks? What is a Bordeaux blend?
De-mystify Bordeaux! Sunday December 9th and 16th, Sommelier Arnie Millan presents a series of 2 classes exploring Bordeaux its history, geography and, of course, its wines. We will taste at least 6-8 quality wines per class, including classified growths.
On the 9th, we will explore the famous wines of the Left Bank, including the famous appellations of Pauillac (think Lafite, Mouton, Latour), St. Éstèphe, St. Julien, Margaux, the Médoc and Graves.
On the 16th, we will explore the great wines of Sauternes and the Right Bank (Pomerol, Saint-Emilion, etc.).
