Wines Of Burgundy Classes; Chablis And The Cote De Nuits
Sun, October 28, 2018 (1:30 PM - 4:00 PM)
Cost: $99 per class or $185 per person for both classes
Burgundy - its wines are legendary, considered by many to be the greatest on this planet. The two principal grapes of Burgundy are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and, it is argued, they attain their greatest expression in the soils of Burgundy, producing profound wines capable of long aging.
Sommelier Arnie Millan will guide you through the legendary wines of Burgundy in a two-part class series Sunday, October 28th and November 4th.
We will cover the history of Burgundy, its Cru system, all the major Côte d'Or villages and the top producers.
The first class on October 28tth will focus on Northern Burgundy; specifically Chablis (not the plonk from California but great, noble Chardonnay), Marsannay and the Côte de Nuits.
The second class on November 4th will focus on the Côte de Beaune, the Côte Chalonnaise and the Mâcon. If time permits, we will also cover Beaujolais.
We will taste 8 fine wines per class, including Grand Crus and Premier Crus. The cost is $99 per person per class or $185 for both classes.
Arnie was recently featured in a Seattle Times profile entitled "The Finest Wine Mind in Seattle."
The Classes begin at 1:30 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. in the Sky Lounge at Esquin Wine & Spirits, 2700 4th Avenue S., Seattle, WA 98134. Parking is available in our lot on the South side of our building.
