If you are looking to improve your ability to identify flavors in wine with real precision, and improve your tasting ability, then this course is for you.
With this class you will be tasting an assortment of foods to learn how to pick out certain flavor profiles in your wine. Along with that we will be pairing 5 wines with delicious bites.
You will learn how to use a wines acidity to balance a rich dish. See how the myth of white with fish and red with meats can be changed because of cooking techniques. You will become more comfortable with matching your everyday dishes.
Your teacher Stephen was classically trained in France and received a degree in wine from the University du Vin at Chateau Suze-la-Rousse. After graduating and returning to the US, he relocated to the Bay area. He began working in numerous high-end restaurants such as Michael Mina and Fleur de Lys. He made multiple trips to France, Italy, Napa, Sonoma, and California's Central Coast wine countries for educational tastings. Stephen has taken his passion for wine, all that he has learned and experience and is now sharing it with you!
