Steaktober Fest & Steak Cookoff October 12th and 13th
The Cameron Chamber of Commerce and Working for Cameron are hosting the 5th Annual Steaktober Fest in historic downtown Cameron on October 12th and 13th, 2018. A Steak cookoff and Steak Dinner on Saturday will feature our own local beef producer, 44 Farms, with Ribeye steaks and all the trimmings, A Farm to Table Event. Dinner Tickets are $35.00 per ticket and we have two dinner times one at 5:30 pm and one at 7:00 pm. Dinner entertainment will be provided by E Flat Porch Band and Nestor Rios and Jazz Combo. There will be inside seating at Bea's Kitchen located at 101 E Main and outside seating under a lighted tent at the same location.
This year we have coordinated with Cameron ISD, because we have the C. H. Yoe High Homecoming game on October 12th. E Flat Porch Band will kick off at 8:30 at Bagley Pecan Warehouse in downtown Cameron with Music, Food and Bloody Mary Bar. Mercantile Bistro will also have Artist, En Gedi Vineyards and Music.
On Saturday October 13th, festivities will begin at 10:00am in historic downtown Cameron. We have artists, Wester Roundup Artists, Pamela Neely Studios, and more. Wineries-En Gedi Vineyards, 3 Texan Vineyards and a Bloody Mary Bar with Big Bayou! Crafters, and we are adding Antique and Collectible booths this year, along with an Antique Car – Cruise In. Music by El Flat Porch Band, Charlie Wyler, Nestor Rios and Jazz Combo, Casey Stanislaw, and Chris Martinez with Street Dancing!
Fireworks display will begin at dusk in the downtown!
The Steak Cookoff competition will be on the downtown square ready to compete in the steak cookoff with 44 Farm ribeye steaks, Blood Mary and Appetizer contests. This cookoff is sanctioned by the Steak Cookers Association. Keep checking our website www.cameron-tx.com as we will have celebrity judges! Maybe one of your favorites, you never know.
