We are excited to welcome back to our Sunday Sunset Lawn Concert stage: Derek Spence - Tribute To George Strait with Southern County Line!
An original Texan, Derek was born in Nacogdoches, TX. He has performed everywhere from Fiesta Texas to the Grand Ole Opry. During the time he spent at the Grand Ole Opry, Derek shared the stage with folks like Shania Twain, Diamond Rio, Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, and Restless Heart.
While in Nashville, two major record labels turned Derek down because they said, "You look too much like George Strait!"
Derek has spent many years perfecting his impersonations of various Texas artists including George Strait, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings.

Named the 2018 CMA of Texas Band Of The Year, and made up of members of the former high energy, dynamic, crowd pleasing Chris Brade Band, Southern County Line has become one of the premier country music acts in the Houston area. They are also a part of a special Tribute to George Strait Show featuring Derek Spence; a recreation of a Strait show from the golden era of the 80's & 90's.
Southern County Line is made up of Chris Brade (2018 CMA of Texas Songwriter Of The Year) on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Rick Carr (2018 CMA of Texas Instrumentalist Of The Year) on lead guitar and vocals, Jeremy Creed (2017 CMA of Texas Johnny Gimble Fiddle Player Of The Year) on fiddle, mandolin, and vocals, Dustin Rychlik on drums and vocals, and Eric Tewes on bass guitar. The band will occasionally be joined by vocalists, Adam Berry, Keith Smith, and Tim Nichols.
SCL has shared the stage with Mark Chesnutt, Stoney LaRue, Tanya Tucker, Roger Creager, Johnny Lee, Randy Rogers, Joe Nichols, Aaron Watson, Mark Wills, and many more.

No outside alcohol allowed, it is against TABC Law to bring alcohol onto the property, including previously purchased Bernhardt Winery wine. Please, no high back lawn chairs or canopies that blocks view of the stage. Tables larger than 18"x24" are not allowed to be brought onto the concert grounds.
