Willcox Wine Country Fall Festival Returns October 20-21

Nationally acclaimed festival located among the state’s premier grape-growing region to feature 18 Arizona wineries, live music, a pop-up restaurant and local purveyors.

(WILLCOX, Arizona) – What started with four wineries and just over 250 attendees ten years ago, has grown to 18 wineries, over 70 art and craft vendors, 5 bands, multiple food venues and over 5,000 attendees. The festival is located at the historic Railroad Park (157 N. Railroad Avenue, Willcox, AZ 85643) just steps from the Willcox Wine Trail and local vineyards.

The fall festival will feature a new activity for attendees to participate in while tasting wines from the largest grape growing region in Arizona. “Cellar Selection Sunday” will feature select Willcox Wine Country Partners offering a special tasting of reserve and library wines direct from their cellars. These wines are from the winemakers’ library of past vintages. It will give attendees a chance to taste the past and present. A complete list will be available on our website by October 1st.

On Saturday, October 20th, a benefit dinner for the Northern Cochise Hospital the will hosted by the Willcox Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture and the Willcox Wine Country Partnership. This is the third year (6th dinner) the Willcox Wine Country Partnership has raised funds to help the hospital so they can provide better care for our Willcox residents. This dinner will feature the culinary talents of Chef Ken Foy and wines from the Willcox Partnership. The dinner is held at the Willcox Community Center (412 W. Stewart St., Willcox, AZ 85643) just two blocks north of the festival, tickets are $50 per person.  The event is limited to 250 people and has sold out every year. 

All members of the Willcox Wine Country Partnership will be participating along with keeping their tasting rooms open. They include:

Aridus Wine Company, Bodega Pierce/Saeculum Cellars, Carlson Creek Vineyard

Coronado Vineyards, Golden Rule Vineyards, Keeling Schaefer Vineyards

Kief-Joshua Vineyards, Pillsbury Wine Company, Zarpara Vineyard

Other wineries own vineyards in the Willcox area or buy grapes from Willcox vineyards will be participating. A complete list of these wineries will be release in September and can be found on our website willcoxwinecountry.org.

Rated as one of the best wine festivals in North America by Fodor’s Travel, the festival is ideally located among the state’s primary grape-growing region (74% of Arizona wine grape production occurs in Willcox Wine Country). Pre-sale tickets are available at willcoxwinecountry.org for $15, which includes a wine glass and six tasting tickets, or $20 which includes a wine glass and 10 tasting tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at entry. Designated drivers, underage family, and non-drinkers will be admitted at no charge.
