Expand your palate with the Baldwin Library’s A Novel Wine Tasting fundraiser on Friday, October 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy wines from around the world along with a selection of beers and spirits. All proceeds from the event will help fund the expansion and renovation of the Youth Room, expected to begin in summer 2019.

Bid on silent auction items, listen to live jazz music, strike a pose in the photo booth, and test your wine knowledge with a wine tasting game. Enjoy a strolling dinner and desserts from Cannelle Patisserie, Commonwealth, Holiday Market, Noble Fish, Svenska Café, Papa Joes, and Ike’s Restaurant, provided by Uptown Market. The beer tasting is sponsored by Griffin Claw Brewing Company and the wine tasting is sponsored by Uptown Market.

Tickets are $75 for general admission and $65 for ages 65 and over. Purchase tickets at www.baldwinlib.org/booksandbites. Silent auction donations are welcome and sponsorship opportunities are also available. Event sponsors at the $1,000 level or higher will be commemorated on an Honor Roll Donor plaque in the new Youth Room and will receive four event tickets.

“We are thrilled to be planning an exciting evening where the community can come together to enjoy friendship, food and beverage all while investing in our children by supporting the renovation and expansion of the youth room at Baldwin,” said Jennifer Wheeler, Event Chairperson.

In past years, Books & Bites has benefited the Youth Room Expansion (2017), Library’s Idea Lab (2015), Outreach Services (2013), a Teen Space (2012), and an Early Learning Corner (2011).
