Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the king of red wine grapes, and the grape itself came about in 17th century France as a result of an entirely accidental breeding of a red Cabernet Franc grape plant with a white Sauvignon Blanc grape plant. Due to the grape’s ability to be grown in almost any climate that is not very cold, Cabernet Sauvignon is now one of the most widely planted red grape varietals in the world, and its wine is the most sought after. What’s not to like about a full-bodied red wine with dark fruit flavors and savory flavors from black pepper to bell pepper!
We’ll taste 6 Cabernet Sauvignons at this tasting, from the Old World style to the New World style. Don’t know the difference? Join us as we compare and contrast them...and see which style is your favorite!
