What does “Bordeaux” mean to you? Is it a deep, dry red wine? Is it Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon or a blend of both and other grapes? Are there white and rosé Bordeaux wines? Are there Bordeaux sweet wines? These questions and more will be answered at our guided Bordeaux tasting on January 14 at Pierre Loti Chelsea (258 W 15 St at 8th Ave).

Join as as our resident expert Robin Kelley O’Connor, Certified Wine Educator (CWE)/ European Wine Expert/ Wine & Spirits Writer/ Sommelier/ International Bordeaux Wine Educator / former Trade Liaison and Director of Trade and Consumer Education in the Americas for the Bordeaux Wine Bureau (Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux) for 20 years, leads us through a Bordeaux experience.

Our tasting will include 10 wines from various parts of the region, including 1855 classified Médoc wines, Bordeaux Supérieur, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, Graves and others. Be prepared for a spectacular tasting.

At the tasting we’ll introduce Mara Ohanyan, who will talk about a river cruise in the Bordeaux region in August. Take a look: http://www.cruiseplanners.com/plan-my-cruise/cruise-lines/crystal-cruises/crystal-ravel
