Come experience one of the purest joys of the season with PhilHarmonia, a 24-voice chamber choir, for their 4th annual Winter Spirits at the German Society of Pennsylvania at 7th and Spring Garden streets in Philadelphia. Listen to a diverse array of uncommon songs celebrating the winter holidays while sipping wine and local beer and enjoying delicious hor d'oeuvres, before joining in for the final set of traditional holiday carols.

Philharmonia will serenade you "In dulci jubilo" (in sweet rejoicing!) with songs of the winter and holiday season, from historic Renaissance pieces to contemporary music. You'll hear modern arrangements of historic texts as well as favorite seasonal carols from Still, still, still to Deck the Halls with a twist!  All this will take place in the superb acoustics of the German Society of Pennsylvania's spectacular Barthelmes Auditorium, a soaring space designed for the resonance of unamplified voices and instruments.

Certified sommelier Candace Ryan will host a delightful wine education station designed by Philly's favorite drinks author Marnie Old. She'll be pouring international wines in shades of white, red and rosé that range from bone-dry to candy-sweet, where each pair teaches a key wine lesson. Members of the Philadelphia Homebrewer Club will also be on hand, sampling an ecclectic range of beers and maybe sharing some brewing secrets if you're lucky. Fans of the suds can cast a vote for their favorite styles!
