Toast the new vintage at the 16th Annual Fête du Beaujolais Nouveau heldat Headwaters at the Heathman Hotel! Join James Beard Chef Vitaly Paley, the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest and the Alliançe Française de Portland as they roll out the newest vintage of Beaujolais Nouveau. Guests can revel in the first wines of 2017 from a variety of vintners, as well as Headwaters’ cuisine which showcases local ingredients from Oregon’s diverse bounty, from farm to sea. Guests will also enjoy desserts provided by Pix Pâtisserie, St Honoré Boulangerie, Petite Provence, and Smitten Artisan Truffles, as well as fresh-baked bread from Grand Central and fabulous French cheese from Lactalis USA. The festival will feature tastings from Northwest wineries and French-connected vintners and importers, including Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2017, WillaKenzie Estate, Pacific Rim, Ruby Vineyard, Anne Amie, Terroirs Originels, M. Chapoutier, Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, and Furioso Vineyard. Spirits at the event will include, Hardy Cognac, Balinoff Vodka, and more. The event will boast the “Wall of Wine”, live music by Heather Keizur, an airline ticket raffle and community excellence awards – in 2017 the award will recognize James Beard Chef Philippe Boulot for his pioneering role in this event, now the largest of its kind on the West Coast.
