Educational     Light Appetizers      Tasting (sit down)     Wine

Of all the winemaking regions in the world, Burgundy is where terroir (the sense of place) matters most. In fact, an expert should be able to blind taste a bottle and tell you not only what general region within Burgundy that bottle is from, but also in which vineyard the grapes were grown. In this mesmerizing region, that's how important each microclimate really is. For this special tasting, our resident sommelier will guide you through a tasting of 6 wines from Maranges, a village known for producing some of the most affordable Premier Crus in Burgundy. In the first flight, you'll enjoy 3 wines made from different Premier Cru vineyards across Maranges; in the last flight you'll taste 3 separate wines made from the same plot of land by 3 different producers. It should be a fantastic night as we turn the microscope as close as it can go and discover the true complexities of terroir.

In addition to the wines, your ticket includes a small antipasti plate with cheese, crackers, and charcuterie. We’ll see you in class!
