Come to the Table! Celebrating 10 Years of Slow Food North LA
Our chapter is 10 years old this year! As we approach the birthday of Slow Food on December 10
- known to us as Terra Madre Day - we wanted to convene our members and supporters to learn what you think about the last 10 years and what is to come next for our chapter.
We will gather November 12 from 3-5 pm at Minicine, 846 Texas Ave in Shreveport
, to create an opportunity to hear from YOU about what you have liked, wouldn't be sad to see go away, or which areas of the Slow Food USA priorities you'd like to see more local activity around. This will be a potluck event (think local and seasonal)
though we'll have some fun bubbly flavored waters from Whole Foods since y'all liked those so much at the Luau on the Farm. But do not feel obligated to bring anything but your thoughts!
To facilitate the discussion, we will send a short survey over the coming week and we would appreciate your honest feedback.
And as a reminder, our friends the Ross Lynn Charitable Foundation will be hosting a Harvest Dinner November 10 at Jeems Bayou Hunting & Fishing Club, featuring the culinary creations of 2016 Louisiana Food Prize Winner Chef Blake Jackson. Thanks for being part of the Slow Food revolution!
