Three Wines for Thanksgiving

These are three wines selected both for their efficacy at Thanksgiving as well as their great value. Serve these wines at Thanksgiving, or any time, and be confident they will be well received. Chenin Blanc is great with a wide variety of foods, as is typical at a feast, and South Africa is known for this grape. Secateurs is the best we’ve found at this price point, and it’s a Thanksgiving favorite. Secateurs, by the way, are a type of pruning shears. Pinot Noir is a versatile food wine. The Poppy Pinot Noir has gotten better every year, so it’s no surprise it’s gotten more “Poppular”. If you’d like a bit of boldness in your wine, Syrah can fill the bill. However, for Thanksgiving, have one that’s ready to drink, without tannins or too much acidity. The Powers Syrah fits the bill perfectly, with nice fruit and a bit of Viognier to give it freshness. Stop in, taste and stock up.
