Winemaker Symposium 2:00-3:00pm: Six winemakers, three from Baja California and three from Napa Valley will present one of their wines during a panel discussion led by Cohn Restaurant Group's sommelier, Maurice DiMarino. Many of the winemakers started off as vineyard workers and today own their own wineries. Their unique perspective to winemaking will shed light on the benefits and challenges of making wine in Baja and Napa. The symposium will be held in the Boca Rio Room. Space is limited. $40/person includes entry to the Tasting Tour.
Winemaker Tasting Tour 3:30-5:30pm: The Tasting Tour will take place at the Sea 180 seaside patio overlooking the white sands of Imperial Beach. 19 Mexican winemakers from Baja California and Napa Valley will pour several wines which showcase their unique terroirs. The wineries are of high quality, small production and each is Mexican owned. Hors doeuvres will be tray passed and all wines will be available to order. $25/person for Tasting Tour only.
