Hotels
Lisbon – 5 nights in the vibrant Chiado neighborhood, walking distance from Bairro Alto and about a mile from Alfama.
Porto – 4 nights in a charming boutique hotel just steps from the metro.
BreakfastA full breakfast is included each morning at the hotels.
Lisbon – We will enjoy 4 traditional meals together plus substantial tapas with wine on our walking tour.
Porto – We will enjoy 3 traditional meals together plus substantial tapas and wine on our walking food tour.
In both cities, you will have some time to explore on your own for a few meals.
Cooking ClassesLisbon – We will tour a market with a local chef and cook a traditional Portuguese lunch.
Porto – We will learn to make Pastel de Nata.
Day TripsLisbon – Our full-day trip to Alentejo will include a tour and tasting at a small, organic olive oil producer. We will tour a winery and taste 3 local wines with snacks. We will enjoy a traditional lunch in Evora.
Porto – We will explore Douro Valley, including winery tour and tasting and a delicious lunch.
Walking ToursBoth Cities – We will have a guided walking tour, tasting wines and several local foods along the way.
Porto – We will visit one of the large port wine houses across the river and learn about Port, followed by a tasting of three wines.
Lisbon – During one of our dinners we will be entertained with traditional Fado music.
Airport transportation and train are included. Transportation to Alentejo and Douro Valley are included. Taxis, metros, trams and other in-city transportation are not included.
