It’s Asheville’s best free wine tasting. Stop by this Saturday to taste a stellar lineup of 5 new arrivals to the store.

Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking!

The premise for this tasting is simple. We’ve been tasting tons of new wines in 2020 and we’re excited to share our newest finds with you. Part of our job is tasting the thousands of wines available to us (and you) and picking the good ones. And with 20+ years of “tasting experience,” we’re pretty darned good at it too. Stop by and let us know what you think. Taste, learn, and save every Saturday at Table Wine.

Don’t forget, all the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day.

1. 2018 Indaba Chardonnay (Western Cape, South Africa) –Always a tremendous value, the current release of Indaba Chardonnay is outstanding. Lightly oaked, moderately rich, and wonderfully balanced, this one offers up loads of tropical fruits along with subtle notes of spice and butterscotch. At less than $10/bottle, it’s hard to beat.

2. 2018 Vinaccio Bianco (Sicily, Italy) – This is a new personal favorite white composed entirely of Grillo, a grape native to Sicily. This highly aromatic grape is in fine form here, yielding a fleshy, fuller bodied white that remains light on its feet. Soaring notes of apricot, white peach, and honey are balanced by refreshing citrus zest and grapefruit notes. Wonderful stuff!

3. 2018 The Curator Red Blend (Swartland, South Africa) – The Curator is Swartland all-star Adi Badenhorst’s little “side hustle.” He’s using fruit from his own vineyards along with grapes from friends and neighbors to create this Cotes du Rhone-styled red. Fresh and ripe, with soft tannin and zesty acids, this makes for a great Tuesday night or burger wine.

4. 2016 Morgante Nero d’Avola (Sicily, Italy) – You all have been asking for a fuller, richer, more in-your-face style of Nero d’Avola. Good news — we found it! From a fifth generation, family-run estate, this is a textbook version of the grape. Look for notes of dark cherry, boysenberry, wild herb and mocha. Full-bodied but seamless, this is going to make a lot of folks happy.

5. Surprise Wine – Our last wine is one of California’s top Cabernet values. Rated 93 points by Vinous Media and coming to you at less than $20, you’ll want to get by and taste this one. We’ll only open 1 bottle — get here early or miss out.
