This October our very own Chef David will co-host an immersive food ߍ and wineߍ· cruise in Italy! He will join Eric Asimov, chief wine critic of The New York Times, and Arthur Schwartz, award-winning cookbook author, food editor, and restaurant critic, on the newest PONANT cruise ship, exploring southern Italy and Sicily.
An eight-day, seven-night adventure, the Epicurean Delights of Southern Italy & Sicily Cruise travels from Civitavecchia (just south of Rome) to Malta via the Campania coast. Guests will learn about the region's cuisine, history, and culture while tasting and sipping local delicacies along the way.
A Local Experience
Chef David will educate guests on southern Italy's cuisine and wine, and at each port, he will collect different ingredients to prepare a private tasting onboard.
Every stop presents a new culinary excursion, including but not limited to, a wine tour on Mt. Etna's volcanic slopes, a buffalo mozzarella-making demonstration, and a visit to a local fish market (all offering samples, of course! ߧ€).
A highlight of the cruise is an exclusive dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant Palazzo Petrucci. The ship will sail October 18-25, 2020. For more information about this special experience, call Hill's Travel Service at 727.896.7161 or click the button below.
