The Italian Wine Scholar Certification program provides up-to-date, extensive and precise information on the diverse wines of Italy. Created by native Italian, Maurizio Brioggi with the support of the Italian wine DOC/G consorzi, this specialization program is designed for all advanced students of wine, whether wine professionals or serious wine enthusiasts.
Due to the depth and complexity of Italian wines, the program has been split into two courses: Unit 1 covers Northern Italy and Unit 2 examines Central & Southern Italy. This offering is for unit 1 only, unit 2 will follow. Candidates must pass both units to be certified as an Italian Wine Scholar.
