It's a mystery! To Whom did Beethoven address his "Immortal Beloved" letter???
Beethoven had a lot of love angst, part of which was spelled out in a letter he wrote to a mystery beloved one hot summer in 1812. The letter went unsent, but to whom was it actually written?
Was it a Hungarian Countess? The wealthy daughter of an Austrian diplomat? A confidante and patron of arts and letters? Or one of the many women to whom he taught piano?
We'll never know... or will we?
Join us to examine 5 candidates for "Immortal Beloved" and taste 5 wines that we find along the way.
