This Saturday, come taste with Importer Jerry Russo, local Italian Wine Guru! He has been in the wine industry for 38 years and holds both Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS). He was On Premise Fine Wine Manager for a prominent distributor in Georgia before reaching his current position working with Monte Zovo and few other small Italian Wineries. Join us as we taste:
Monte Zovo Soave
Aromas of fresh fruit such as pears and green apples, floral notes and chamomile. Dry on the palate, medium bodied, light almond notes on the finish.
Monte Zovo Sauvignon Blanc
Herbaceous aromas of sage, green peppers, white peaches, and citrus fruit. Fruity and herbaceous flavors, hints of minerals, and bright freshness.
Poletti Sangiovese
Harmonious, slightly tannic with a pleasant after-taste with a hint of violets that blends beautifully with ripe cherries.
Monte Zovo Valpolicella Superiore
An intense red in color. Grapey sensations of red berry fruit and cherries on the nose. Fruity in flavor, tasty, and balanced.
Monte Zovo Amarone
An intense red in color with garnet highlights. Aromas of ripe fruit (plums and black cherries), spices, vanilla, liquorice, and chocolate. Properly fruity on the palate, intense, warm, and with well integrated tannins, notes of vanilla and chocolate, very well balanced.
