The Dorian Restaurant Hosting a Truffle Shuffle & Whiskey Dinner on November 14

The Dorian Restaurant in San Francisco’s Marina District will be hosting a Truffle Shuffle & Whiskey Dinner on Thursday, November 14 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and canapés followed at 7:00 p.m. by dinner. The $75.00 four-course Italian white truffle focused prix fixe can by a paired with Macallan whiskies for an additional $20.00. Truffle Shuffle founders Chef Jason McKinney and Chef Tyler Vorce, formerly of The French Laundry, are partnering with The Dorian to present this memorable evening. Whiskey will be infused in the dishes plus a truffle cart will provide guests with the option of selecting additional truffles to shave over the meal. The restaurant’s regular a la carte menu showcases shared-plate classic American fare and the restaurant’s robust beverage program features a mix of classic, contemporary and original cocktails including hand-crafted martinis and an extensive array of whiskeys. Among the fifty or so wines by the bottle are both domestic and imported vintages. Locally sourced craft beers are also offered.

The Dorian evokes a Victorian home at the turn of the last century with rich colors and textural wallpapers, mixed with brass and concrete surfaces. Built in-panels with hand-sourced antique artifacts and art, and a chandelier all bring a sense of charm and fun to the restaurants three distinct spaces. The main bar area, with brass accents and a teal and purple color scheme, is anchored by a prominent whiskey display while upstairs, the study incorporates leather and dark wood.

The Dorian is located at 2001 Chestnut Street, at the corner of Fillmore Street, in San Francisco, California. The restaurant serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
