With Tequila’s rise in popularity, many myths and urban legends have arisen around this often-misunderstood spirit. Tequila has shed its “spring break” fame and now is challenging the supremacy of Cognac, Scotch and other fine spirits.
Join us to go beyond the basics of this noble Mexican spirit and learn not only the process of making Tequila but also how to taste and fully appreciate this complex and noble spirit. This 2-hour seminar will cover the history, cooking, fermentation and distillation process, brought to life with images and videos taken in México. You will taste six Tequilas made in different styles from famed producers. The tasting samples will highlight the different production methods and how they impact the final profile of each Tequila via the flavors and aromas.
This seminar will be led by Tequila expert and Mexican national Alex Delgado, DipWSET, with support from Monica Marin, DipWSET.
