To celebrate recent updates and new offerings at Macy’s Union Square, the store will be hosting a series of special events and celebrations for customers. On Thursday, November 7 at 6 p.m., customers and colleagues alike will father at Macy’s Union Square for the store’s “grand reopening. Customers will proceed up the Geary Street escalators to begin their tour of some of San Francisco’s most iconic neighborhoods, complete with a stamp-able passport, within Macy’s Union Square. The neighborhoods, positioned at various locations throughout the store, will each be paired with a renowned chef (Embarcadero – Chef Tanya Holland; Chinatown - Chef Shirley Chung; The Mission – Chef Dominica Rice Cisneros; Castro – Chef Stuart O’Keeffe; North Beach – Chef Tony Gemignani). In each neighborhood, customers will enjoy meet-and-greets and bites from the chefs, music, photo opportunities, specials from our vendor partners and more. After customers receive a stamp in their passport from each neighborhood, they will receive a Karl the Fog tabletop book and Macy’s Culinary Council gift bag, as well as a photo in the “rising fog” photo booth.
