Reigning from an island in Portugal, Madeira is one of the most interesting wine styles in the world and the only that can claim to be "immortal." You won't want to miss this special event.

We have two sessions: 10am-12pm and 2-4pm , both will cover the same information.

Workshops will be guided by Ms. Rubina Vieira from The Madeira Wine Institute and will include a theoretical component as well as a tasting. The entire event will be seated so please expect to spend the entire two hours at the event.

Fun facts about Maderia:

  • It was the wine used for US Independence Toast
  • It was one of Churchill's favorite wines
  • Madeira was the wine used to try to assassinate Rasputin with cyanide.
  • It is immortal!

The event will take place at Harriet Lembeck's Wine School at 203 E. 29th Street between 2nd and 3rd avenues. RSVP to cchamberlain@wineandcollc.com is required to reserve your spot as each workshop is limited to just 20 places.

This event is open for students, enthusiasts, and general consumers.
