Wine After Work: Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley
Join certified sommelier and wine educator Shar Peterson on a journey into the Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys of Sonoma County.
Learn about the history of the region, the climate and soils, and where to find the best bang for the buck wines. Emphasis will be on the old zinfandel fields planted by the Italian immigrants in the early 1900's, and how to see those vineyards and enjoy the wines. Shar will also cover suggested routes, wineries, and restaurants along with an overview of the best times to visit (and why)
Included are three great wine selections, tons of maps and info, loads of hints and tips, and some bites from the kitchen.
