Join Tanya Morning Star Darling, Certified Wine Educator and French Wine Scholar; Linda Bohannon, French Wine Scholar; and Eric Strout, winemaker of Eleven Winery; for an exploration of the impact of terroir and winemaking style using four grapes: Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Malbec and Mourvedre. Discussion will cover the historical/traditional home of grapes (Old World) and underlying factors in each grape’s migration within the Old World and, ultimately, to a new (and sometimes more appropriate) home in the New World. This class will focus on sensory comparison and exploration of these grapes in their appellations of origin and Washington (Eleven) vineyards.
The Master Class Series with Tanya Morning Star Darling CWE, FWS is designed for wine professionals and serious enthusiasts of all variety, who wish to explore their most beloved wine regions with a deep level of curiosity, and detail. All classes include 6-8 expertly curated wines. Must be 21 to register.
Why study with Tanya? Tanya is the local program provider for Wine Scholar Guild certification courses in the Seattle area, and she is very proud to have been named French Wine Scholar Instructor of the Year in 2018.
