Uncorked Vintage Academia brings you an unique inside look at one of Texan's favorite varieties. Tempranillo grows well throughout Spain, but also in our Mediterranean climate.

We'll explore a minimum of 19 wines, most from a private collection, sold-out & library selections, winemaker-direct samples, also including an exclusive tasting of several of The Austin Winery tempranillos that are currently resting in barrel shared from the winery team, what better opportunity to try raw wine?! We'll also pour the 'Violet Crown' - their flagship wine!

We'll also journey to some well known regions in Spain, like a cult winemaker from Ribera del Duero, and try some classic over 20 year old wine from Rioja from a sustainable producer, plus a classic Riojano with over 30 years of age!

The tour doesn't stop there...we'll venture into territory where tempranillo grows that perhaps you're unfamiliar with, like Granada or Greece!
Needless to say, we'll also taste some premium Texas grown Tempranillo presented by co-host Certified Specialist of Wine Cecil Albrecht of Inwood Estates Winery and Bistro, made by iconic veteran winemaker Dan Gatlin, whose pioneering vision for Texas Tempranillo started over 30 years ago!

Seating is limited, make sure to RSVP and book your tickets soon to become a Tempranillo scholar with an unique opportunity to try a 37 year window of tempranillo winemaking from 1981 to 2018!
