Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare at the corner of India and Winder. On-street parking is also usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always lots of parking on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's tons of parking less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES

2017 Croix "Ruxton Sands" Rosé of Pinot Noir ~ $22
(Napa Valley) Review by Jen Dunnuck: A beautifully provencal effort, the 2017 ruxton sands rose offers a distinct minerality to go with citrus and orange arind aromatics, medium-bodied richness, and racy, boderline tart acidity. 88 pts.

2016 Viña Cobos "Cocodrilo" Red Blend ~ $26
(Argentina) Winemaker's Notes: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 9% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot + 2% Cabernet Franc. Deep red with violet tones. The nose displays aromas of blueberry, blackberry, chocolate and spice. Highly concentrated flavors and sweet, soft tannins give substantial body and structure to the palate.

2017 Paul Hobbs "Crossbarn" Chardonnay ~ $23
(Sonoma Coast) Winemaker's Notes: Glistening straw yellow with a faint green hue and fragrant aromas of white flower, Asian pear, and wet stone underpin the wine’s expression of its true Sonoma Coast roots. Alluring stone fruit flavors carry the palate along with hints of citrus and honeysuckle that evolve into a creamy mid-palate before ending in a long, clean finish with crisp acidity.

2017 Turley "Buck Cobb" Zinfandel ~ $46
(Amador County) Review by Wine Advocate: 93 points. This wine has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and a pretty perfume of dried exotic flowers over sliced apricot, warm redcurrant, black berry and black cherry, with dried leaves and soil hints. Medium-bodied, it has a good spicy, tricolored fruit core and grainy tannins, finishing long.

2016 Bokisch Graciano ~ $20
(Lodi) Winemaker's Notes: First vintage featuring Terra Alta Vineyard Graciano with a vineyard designation! The violet-blue hue is the first signal that something special awaits in the glass. The aromas hit the nose in full force with forest fruit, blackberry pie, blueberry syrup and black licorice. Flavors of dark Bing cherry, vanilla bean, blueberry and sundried apricots linger in the mouth. Juicy sweet with a velvet finish, this wine will continue to age beautifully which is why it is often used in the blends of the Rioja region of Spain. Pair with roasted leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary.

2015 Melville "Estate" Pinot Noir ~ $28
(Sta. Rita Hills) Winemaker's Notes: Light garnet in color. Vivid aromatics of rhubarb, tangerine zest, fresh cranberry and juniper are immediately apparent while intriguing notes of eucalyptus, chanterelle mushroom, plum skin and green tea linger in the background. Focused and precise, with velvety tannins that frame its plush core as well as the lengthy and cohesive finish. 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast.

2014 Margerum "Late Harvest" Sauvignon Blanc ~ $24
(Santa Barbara County) Winemaker's Notes: Nose of juicy fruit, honey and ripe melon. Pleasantly sweet yet not cloying attack of more ripe fruit nicely balanced with rich Meyer lemon acidity in the evolution and long finish. Will age gracefully through 2020 developing nectar-like aromatics and becoming richer and even more honeyed. A well balanced dessert wine that pairs well with fruit salad, custardy desserts like crème brûlée, or salty cheeses.

Cuarenta y Tres "Licor 43" Spanish Vanilla Liqueur
(Spain) Warm, complex nose of upfront vanilla followed by tangy sweet fruit, spices and dark rum. The palate is similar to the aroma with complex intermingling flavors of vanilla, spices, orange and cinnamon. Ends with a flavor similar to fine aged rum only sweeter. 62 proof.

Mudslide Cocktail
A decadent and creamy take on the classic mudslide cocktail featuring vodka, Kahlua, Irish Cream and half & half served on the rocks.
