LOCATION & PHONE
Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare Pub at the corner of India and Winder. Also, on-street parking is usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always LOTS OF PARKING on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's TONS OF PARKING less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2018 Borsao Rosé ~ $9
(Spain) 100% Grenache. Winemaker's Notes: Red luminescent color with warm glows. Has a strong aroma of berries and sweets. Very young and fresh in the mouth, well balanced with its acidity, rich in floral nuances and spices.

2017 Paul Hobbs "Crossbarn" Chardonnay ~ $23
(Sonoma Coast) Winemaker's Notes: Glistening straw yellow with a faint green hue and fragrant aromas of white flower, Asian pear, and wet stone underpin the wine’s expression of its true Sonoma Coast roots. Alluring stone fruit flavors carry the palate along with hints of citrus and honeysuckle that evolve into a creamy mid-palate before ending in a long, clean finish with crisp acidity.

2016 Bokisch Monastrell ~ $20
(Lodi) Winemaker's Notes: This is the first vintage of Monastrell from the Sheldon Hills Vineyard and the change is noteworthy! The terroir is Redding Gravelly Clay Loam and the Sloughhouse AVA gets warmer evenings which create a bigger, bolder Monastrell. This wine is super dark and full of earthy aromas, oiled leather and white pepper. It has gripping tannins with a full bodied texture ending with a bright acidity. Flavors of ripe fresh blackberry, Santa Rosa plum, and chocolate covered coffee beans end with hints of licorice. Pair with espresso rubbed filet mignon and wild mushroom sauce.

2017 Austin Hope Cabernet ~ $42
(Paso Robles) Winemaker's Notes: Deep ruby in color, this wine expresses intense fragrances of black currants, ripe black cherries and blackberries with subtle notes of violets, mocha and dried spices. It’s a big, powerful, modern-styled wine with velvety tannins and heaps of juicy blackberry and cherry fruit, while nuances of cedar, clove and vanilla bean round out the long, smooth finish. It’s full bodied, rich and balanced by fresh acidity with a supple, polished tannin structure.

Cuarenta y Tres "Licor 43" Spanish Vanilla Liqueur
(Spain) Warm, complex nose of upfront vanilla followed by tangy sweet fruit, spices and dark rum. The palate is similar to the aroma with complex intermingling flavors of vanilla, spices, orange and cinnamon. Ends with a flavor similar to fine aged rum only sweeter. 62 proof.
