Zachys Winemaker Masterclass: Tuscany's Pioneering Women In Wine

Join us this Thursday, June 20th for our Winemaker Masterclass: Tuscany’s Pioneering Women in Wine with Castello di Monsanto and Capezzana direct from Italy!

Castello di Monsanto has been family-owned since 1962, and their Chianti Classico Riserva has been listed on the Wine Spectator Top 100 four times. They were also the first estate to create a single cru Chianti Classico Riserva in 1962. Laura Bianchi is the owner and winemaker of this Chianti Classico gem and she will present four of her wines. 

Capezzana is the oldest winery in Tuscany producing wine since 804 in Carmignano. The winery has been family-owned by the Contini Bonacossi family since 1925. Learn about how Carmignano became the first DOCG to have international grapes blended into their wines. Capezzana is officially 100% organic with the 2015 vintage. Countess Bea Contini Bonacossi, owner and export director, will lead us through four of her show-stopping Sangiovese blends.
