On Saturday, June 22 from noon to 2:00 p.m., the Arizona Friends of Foster Care Foundation (AFFCF) hosts the Follow Your Dreams graduation celebration at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa. Dedicated to honoring the young men and women that recently graduated from AFFCF’s Keys to Success program, the celebration includes light lunch, a graduation cake and treats.
Attendees can enjoy the “Hopes and Dreams” video, featuring the youth that graduated from Keys to Success during the 2018-2019 school year. The AFFCF’s Keys to Success offers students intensive, individualized career planning, education, and employment development services to empower youth aging out of foster care and allow them to become thriving, self-sufficient adults. The program also connects these students to resources and provides support to increase their success rate as they transition from foster care to adulthood.
Each graduate will be recognized for his or her accomplishments and future plans by a representative of the AFFCF who will then present grads with several graduation gifts. A photo station with graduation props will be available for fun commemorative graduation photos.
