Local Event
Cost: $60 Guests | $48 for Hawks View Club Members
Date: March 21st, 2019
Time: 6:00 PM-8:30 PM
Where: Hawks View Winery, Barrel Room & Fermentation Hall
Class Description: "Have you ever wondered what impact that the French oak barrels that we use to make Willamette Valley Pinot Noir has on the wine itself? Have you ever tasted the effect that a new French oak barrel has on wine as compared to an older barrel? That is just the beginning in a hands on blending exercise using the same vineyard block of Pinot Noir wine from different barrels. The “students” will create new wines by hands-on, table-top blending of these barrels, and get to taste them next to wines blended by others in blind tastings. This friendly competition will invite you into a very seldom experienced aspect of winemaking by allowing you to be the winemaker and specifically explore the element of oak aroma mouthfeel." - Winemaker, Don Crank III
Evening Exclusive: Charcuterie & Cheese will be provided for attendees. Library wines will be available for purchase following the event.
Ticket Price: $60 Guests | $48 Club Members (discount received at check-out)
