LOCATION & PHONE
Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare Pub at the corner of India and Winder. Also, on-street parking is usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always LOTS OF PARKING on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's TONS OF PARKING less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2017 ColleMassari "Melacce" Vermentino ~ $17
(Italy) Winemaker's Notes: Very clean with a fruity-fresh first sip. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, white peach and sweet limes, as well as a hint of exotic fruits, are. Crisp and dry on the palate with fantastic minerality.

2016 Stolpman "L'Avion" Roussanne ~ $30
(Ballard Canyon) Winemaker's Notes: 90% Roussanne + 10% Chardonnay. It goes through malolactic fermentation and it is bottled unfiltered. 2016 was a smooth, moderate vintage and the old vines steadily ripened the Roussanne. In the late 1930s, teenage cattle rancher Anchor Johnson and his buddies landed their rickety plane down the straight chute where Roussanne is now planted. The young men would park the plane under the oak tree at the end of the dirt strip. Roussanne rows now run lengthwise along the old runway, creating the inspiration for the lanes on the L’Avion label. Wine destined for L’Avion must go through three cuts. First, only the two older blocks of Roussanne are eligible for L’Avion. Then, only the prettiest, evenly “Rousse” - or sun tanned - clusters are selected by Cuadrilla. At last, only the favorite barrels are included for L’Avion. At the end of the day, L’Avion accounts for 25-33% of the total Roussanne production each year.

2016 Croix "Narrow Gauge" Pinot Noir ~ $44
(Russian River Valley) Winemaker's Notes: A fuller, broader and savory style of Pinot Noir, the nose opens with aromatic concentrations of sweet tobacco, rose water, black cherries and allspice. The palate is exotic, expansive, yet focused with tongue curling acidity and a savory glide that finishes with substantial length on the palate. The body is surprisingly full without overwhelming the tasting experience. This is pure enjoyment. Bravo! Anticipated maturity: 2019 to 2025.

2016 Grattamacco "Bolgheri" Rosso ~ $29
(Italy) This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese opens with aromas of black currant, Mediterranean scrub and cedar. The juicy palate offers dried black cherry, mocha and black pepper alongside fine-grained tannins.

French Quarter Bourbon Milk Punch
Another classic, old school cocktail typically served at brunch in New Orleans but that also works great as a dessert or after dinner drink. Our version is a simple but decadent and potent combination of Buffalo Trace bourbon, half & half, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Served on the rocks.
