For the first time in six years, a new artisanal bread will grace our coveted bread collection. In honor of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, master baker Cody Brandon has created a Choco Pain aux Cerises, a crunchy Pain de Seigle chock full of Early Richmond Cherries, Valrhona chocolate chips and cocoa nibs.

And because a beautiful French bread is best enjoyed surrounded by the intoxicating pink blossoms, Le Diplomate is offering a Cherry Blossom Picnic Basket to enjoy al fresco. Filled with a loaf of the Choco Pain aux Cerises (yielding about eight slices), a homemade cherry moustarda, and a variety of French cheeses including a French ash-covered Valençay goat cheese, a brie de nangis with double creme, and a blue d’avergne cow’s milk cheese. Samples will be available to guests to try before committing to purchasing.

Le Diplomate’s Cherry Blossom Picnic will be available throughout the duration of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, March 20 through April 14, 2019.
