If you enjoy red wines, then you need to know about Portugal, a paradise for lovers of red wine. Portugal makes some interesting white wines and we may even include one.
But Portugal's claim to fame is without doubt its red wines. In tonight's tasting we'll explore gems from the Douro, Bairrada, Dão and Alentejo, maybe even some rarely tasted wines from the Lisbon area.
This is a prelude to our Wine Lovers Tour to Portugal in April so it's a great way to experience the wines without physically going there.
Our venue tonight is the beautiful wine library room at 1640 Wine Bar in Hamden, and as in the past, you'll have a selection of entrées and desserts for our menu.
We're planning on no less than 8 wines so bring your appetite and thirst for good wine.
