Caymus Vineyards is owned and managed by the talented winemakers of the Wagner Family. Since 1972 Caymus has been producing consistently high quality wines from Cabernet Sauvignon in the Napa Valley. Their first harvest produced just 240 cases; today their 350 acres put out 65,000 cases of wine.
In the first Masterclass of 2019 we will do a vertical tasting of Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon where guests will taste six wines from six different vintages. By controlling the producer, land and varietal we will get a clear picture of how each vintage can be distinctive.
We will taste the following wines:
– Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
– Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
– Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
– Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
– Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
– Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1990’s
