Join us to explore the regions and styles of the most famous slice of the world's most famous wine region: the Left Bank of Bordeaux. While the Merlot-dominant wines of the "Right Bank" certainly have their charms and fans, when most of us think "great Bordeaux" it's the Cabernet-based wines of the Left Bank that come to mind. We'll be tasting examples from famous communes like Margaux, St Julien and Pauillac but also identifying superb values from vineyards across the Medoc and Haut Medoc regions. And while reds will be the focus, we'll finish up with on final Left Bank treat: Sauternes!
We've seen a run of exciting vintages in Bordeaux over the past few years, from the elegance of 2014 to the richness of 2015 and classic excellence of 2016, and examples of these and other vintages will all shine during this tasting.
