The 14th Annual Institute of Masters of Wine Champagne Tasting will be held at the Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco on Monday September 24, 2018.
Seated Panel tastings of 2008 vintage selections are offered in two sessions: Prestige Panel 1, 1.00 - 2.30 pm and Prestige Panel 2, 4.30 - 6.00 pm. Each Prestige tasting features different selections from the 2008 vintage and are wonderful preludes to the Grand Walk-Around tasting which is held in two sessions (with the same wines in both): 2.30 - 4.30 pm and 6.00 - 8.00 pm.
This event is one of the largest and most prestigious tastings of top quality champagne in North America. The seated afternoon events will be led by Charles Curtis MW and Tim Marson MW and will feature curated flights of 2008 vintage selections, while the walk-around tastings will include many exceptional champagnes, both vintage and non-vintage, organized by style: non-dosé, brut, dosé, blanc de blancs/noirs, rosé, etc.
Tickets for either of the Prestige 2008 Tête de Cuvée/vintage tastings are $95.00. Tickets for either of the Grand Walk-Around tastings are $80.00. Combined tickets for ONE of the Prestige 2008 Tête de Cuvée/vintage tasting session and ONE of the Grand Walk-Around tasting sessions are $150, while combined tickets for BOTH of the Prestige 2008 Tête de Cuvée/vintage tasting sessions and ONE of the Grand Walk-Around tasting sessions are $240 . A limited number of reduced rate tickets are available to full-time wine industry professionals (trade credentials required) and currently registered MW and WSET Diploma students. Tickets are very limited and are non-refundable but may be transferred. Please purchase early to avoid disappointment as this event sells out quickly.
Digital lists of the champagne selections will be emailed one week prior to the event. Dress: Wine Country Casual. Attendees should kindly remember to avoid wearing perfume or other heavily-scented lotions.
Tickets are electronic (no need to present a paper ticket), non-refundable but transferable with notification.
