I'm sitting here on vacation overlooking the Yakima River but in my head I'm thinking...damn those Poggio La Noce wines are gonna be showing like a beast on Friday. I'm also thinking...what should room service bring up for breakfast? Let's see...what goes with Champagne?

Poggio La Noce...

2016 Poggio La Noce Baja - The name Bàja is derived from the legend of Bajos, compagnon of Ulysses, who is said to have died and be buried right there in the village of Baia. We chose to make a Falanghina from a very special vineyard situated atop a promontory overlooking the sea right above the fishing village of Baia (NA) within the Campi Flegrei appellation. The combination of the vines sitting right above the sea and the volcanic soil, give this wine deep minerality and huge savouriness in the mouth.

2013 Poggio La Noce Gigetto - Gigetto, a 95% Sangiovese blend, provides surprising immediacy, while still offering plenty to the nose and palate, thus making it an enjoyable easy to drink wine. In the future it will all be produced from our newest vineyard "Le Civette" with the traditional Tuscan mix of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino.

2013 Poggio La Noce Gigino - 100% Sangiovese wine, originates from the part of the vineyard which is particularly rocky and demanding, conditions ideal for the making of an elegant and balanced Sangiovese wine. The vineyard is named "Vigna I Tulipani" for the hundreds of wild tulips which grow throughout the vineyard in early spring every year.

2012 Poggio La Noce Giglio Rosso - Produced from the oldest Sangiovese vines planted in 2000, it is a Sangiovese blend with a small percentage of Colorino. The wine is complex and elegant, with deep colors and lively fruits, persistent acidity and finish, guaranteeing it to be age-worthy.

And we'll be sampling the Poggio La Noce Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This stuff is so awesome it will make you cry!
