What:  2017 Vintage Rosé Blowout

When:  Thursday,  June 14,  6:00- 8:00pm

Cost:  $15 (Includes a great selection of cheeses & crackers)

Stop in anytime between 6:00 and 8:00 and taste a selection of at least 16 of our favorite 2017 Rosés. This is your chance to taste, buy the ones you like and load up your deck cooler because . . . summer is finally here!

Rosé consumption in the United States continues to be one of the fastest growing segments in the wine market. After selling dry Rosé for almost 20 years, it is very refreshing to have people actually coming in the shop asking for them now. The French Rosés are very limited due to low yields in 2017, however the quality is excellent, fresh, pure and true to the terroir. Get them while you can!

This is a casual walk-about style tasting, so no reservations are required. Just please let us know if you are bringing a group. A selection of cheeses and crackers will be served. Here's the lineup:

Chateau De Campuget Tradition Rosé (Costières di Nîmes, France) $10.99

70% Syrah, 30% Grenache Noir. This pale-pink Rosé offers perfumed cherry blossom,  crisp red cherry and  ripe raspberry flavors. While dry and full bodied, it is refreshingly mineral brightened by juicy, lemony acidity.

Domaine Petroni Corse Rosé (Corsica, France) $15.99

A blend of native Corsican varietals Sciaccarellu (see-YAH-ka-rell-u), Nielluciu (knee-ah-lou-chew) & Grenache. Pale, aromatic displaying floral and fresh fruit with a touch of minerality and subtle savory quality that continue on the palate.

Domaine Solitude Cotes Du Rhone (Rhone Valley, France) $13.99

70% Grenache, 30% Syrah. Deep, bright pink in color from the high proportion of Grenache. Fruit forward but still a dry wine with floral aromas lead to a light, fresh palate of fresh cut strawberries.

Chateau De Campuget ‘1753’ (Costières di Nîmes, France) $17.99

80% Syrah, 20% Vermentino. The nose is full of grapefruit and exotic fruits. A delicate freshness with a vibrant mouth with hints of strawberry and cherry.

Seaside Cellars Brut Rosé (Provence, France) $12.99

Light, fresh and delicate, this summer sipper from vineyards close to the Mediterranean sea features soft berry fruit and is perfect for picnics and backyard get-togethers. This is excellent as an aperitif or with summer salads, grilled fish or chicken

Encostas do Lima Vinho Verde Rosé (Minho, Portugal) $8.99

This beautiful strawberry colored wine is both a Rose frizzante and classified as Vinho Verde Rose and comes from 75 % Souazao, 15 % Borracal, and 10 % Espadeiro. Encostas Vinho Verde Rosé has fresh aromas of strawberry and raspberry along with subtle notes of citrus. The palate indicates a youthful but elegant, well-balanced and fresh wine with a long, lingering finish.

Jean Reverdy Sancere Rosé (Loire Valley, France) $25.99

Delicate aromas of roses and orange blossom transform into gooseberry and peach blossoms as the temperature in the glass rises. The palate is crisp, lean and elegant, but the flavors are quite persistant with cherry, black current, apricot and red currant.

Chateau de Segries Tavel Rosé (Rhone, France) $19.99

Beautiful ripe cherry and red berry aromas with floral scents. Good concentration on the palate, flavorful and perfectly balanced. Good acidity and mineral backbone make it a great match with Provençal or Asian cuisine, grilled meat, fresh fruit salads.

A blend of 69% Syrah, 14% Vermentino, 9% Carignan, 8% Pinot Noir, this crisp and elegant rosé displays enticing aromas of pink grapefruit and freshpicked strawberries, along with hints of honeydew melon and raspberry. On the palate, it is bright and balanced, with layers of vibrant fruit and subtle notes of minerals and spice.

Martin Ray Rosé of Pinot Noir (Sonoma County, CA) $14.99

Mulderbosch Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon (Stellenbosch, S. Africa) $11.99

Maison Fortant Brut Rosé (Languedoc, France) $19.99

Brioche fresh out of the oven and Granny Smith apples are apparent on the nose. Juicy berries jump forth on the palate, with raspberry, peaches, and lemon tart harmonizing with tight carbonation. Breezy and buoyant. 100% Grenache

La Bastide Blanche Bandol Rosé (Provence, France) $24.99

Unique, distinctive rosé showing tangerine, lemon and sea shell aromas. Citrus peel, grapefruit and white pepper notes frame lively red fruit and mineral flavors. Medium light body, bone dry, and a refreshing bitter citrus pith finish. Invigorating.
