The Willamette Valley is famous for its Pinot Noirs, which tend to be more restrained in style than their California cousins. This, and its 45 degree north latitude, quite similar to Burgundy, has prompted inevitable comparisons to the wines of that storied part of France. Indeed, some Burgundian producers have taken note and invested in the region. White wine is less talked about but making their mark too, including aromatic whites such as Riesling and Viognier, Pinot Gris in a somewhat Alsatian style, and nowadays some really great Chardonnay. Join us for an evening with Cam Christie from Elk Cove Vineyard, and additional wines from Cristom, pioneering Eyrie Vineyards and Domaine Drouhin, and rising star Lingua Franca. We’ll have limited releases of single vineyard Pinot Noir, as well as an array of delicious, affordable white wines.
