Stop by the store this Saturday for a free wine tasting showcasing some new Southern Hemisphere Wine Finds.  It’s Asheville’s best free wine tasting, and you’re invited.  Just swing by any time between 2-5pm — we’ve got plenty of free parking.

Wine has been produced in the Southern Hemisphere since the 1500’s.  Back then, the wines were often made for sacramental purposes………let’s just say they were less than stellar.  In the past 30 to 40 years, however, the wines have improved dramatically.  In fact, today the wines are better than ever and easily compete on the world stage.  Join us to find out what makes Southern Hemisphere wines unique and why you should be buying them.  Stop by, taste, learn, and save every Saturday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day!  To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of business on Saturday, March 10th.

Can’t make it, but want to take advantage of the savings?  Just call us at 828.505.8588 to place your order, and we can run your credit card over the phone.

1. 2016 Pikes Riesling “Hills and Valleys” (Clare Valley, Australia) – Brothers Andrew and Neil Pike established Pikes Wines in 1984 and continue to manage every aspect of the business today.  Their specialty is dry Riesling, and they produce one of Australia’s best versions.  From black slate soiled vineyards located in Australia’s Clare Valley, slightly northwest of the Barossa Valley, this wine is completely dry and laced with bright citrus, peach, floral and mineral notes.  Super refreshing and a wonderful wine to serve with seasonal vegetables and lighter fare, this is a winner in our books!
Special Tasting Price: $11.99/bottle

2. 2014 Mt. Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir (Central Otago, New Zealand) – Made by New Zealand’s famed Mt. Difficulty winery, this is a great introduction to Central Otago Pinot Noir.  “Clove and cinnamon accents add a spicy overtone to the gingerbread, caraway and black cherry flavors. Smooth and creamy on the finish. Drink now through 2026.” – Wine Spectator – 90 points
Special Tasting Price: $19.99/bottle

3. 2014 Small Gully Mr. Black’s Little Book Shiraz (Barossa, Australia) – Here’s a classic Barossa Shiraz at a very attractive price.  Made with fruit from 60+ year old vineyards and aged for 24 months in French and American oak, it is rich, ripe, and flamboyant.  Look for notes of blackberry, plum, raspberry, and peppery spice along with a smooth, round and supple texture.
Special Tasting Price: $15.19/bottle
