Fine Vintage is the creator and sole provider of the Fine Vintage Canadian Wine Scholar certification program. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to use the title CWS.

The Canadian wine industry is extremely dynamic and growing rapidly. There are over 400 wineries spread across 6 provinces employing over 32,000 people and generating over $6.8 billion in grape-related economic impact. The changes in the last 25 years are nothing short of staggering.

The Fine Vintage Canadian Wine Scholar program was developed by James Cluer, Master of Wine, considered to be among the leading experts on Canadian wines.

The course includes in-depth coverage of all the major and minor wine regions in Canada. In addition the course covers the commercial aspects of producing, selling and marketing wine in the major Canadian markets.

During the 2 day course you will taste over 32 benchmark examples of wines from the leading producers in a wide variety of styles.

At the end of the 2nd day there is a 50 question closed-book multiple-choice exam. In order to register for this course you must have successfully completed the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.
