City Winery Boston and American Airlines invite you to our first season of the First Class International Pairing Series. American Airlines is the Official Airline of City Winery and the Annual First Class International Pairing Series. American offers ample nonstop daily service to the featured destinations.
Once per month, we present a dinner showcasing the wines and cuisine of a fascinating region served by American Airlines. Each program includes remarks by a leading regional expert, a multi-course dinner, and flights of wine highlighting the traditional styles of the region. Over the course of five dinners we will ‘visit’ an array of international destinations.
City Winery is happy to showcase the wines of Diamond Imports a beautiful portfolio featuring the wines of Greece, with Owner and Founder Ted Diamantis. Enjoy a four course menu crafted by Chef Enx to highlight the wines, the vineyards, history and culture of Greece.
In 1992, Ted Diamantis created Diamond Wine Importers out of the belief that Greece, with its natural terroir of mountain vineyards, maritime-influenced climate, volcanic and alluvial soils, and over 300 ancient indigenous varieties, could once again become a source of some of the greatest wines in the world. Over the past 25 years of tasting and traveling throughout Greece, he has compiled a portfolio of the best artisan, vineyard-driven producers who are working with the best native varietals from the best appellations. They only focus on producers and growers who are fully committed to quality and sustainability from vine to bottle. These producers are people that have passion, are self-made men and women, working with the land, and embodying the true winemaking spirit. Their goal is to now educate and enlighten the American wine market about these indigenous varietals, ancient appellations and, most importantly, the spirit of these outstanding producers.
