Presented by head winemaker Bob Berthau. Bob's journey of winemaking has led him on a journey from Idaho to California and back to his native Washington. After 16 years of making wine in Sonoma, Bob joined Chateau Ste. Michelle as its white wine maker. Chateau Ste. Michelle was built on the 1912 estate owned by Seattle lumber baron Frederick Stimson with a goal of proving that California and Italy are not the only places to make good wine. The philosophy of the vineyard is to highlight the style, quality and expression of Washington state. This quality of wine is highly unique due to the growing conditions of grapes in the eastern side of the state.
